Working primarily in acrylic, Timmy Valentine’s paintings, drawings, and sculptures create a dialog between a complex inner universe and the outside world. A lack of rules drives creative exploration. Familiar symbols borrowed from advertising, cartoons and daily life guide the viewer through unexpected compositions.  

It is as if he has taken you by the hand and is showing you the way to let go. His work uses color and form to explore concepts of gender, social class, and other societal boundaries.
